History of Barangay Bical
Bical was founded in the year 1843 after a species of slender climbing bamboos called “BICAL” (Schizostachym diffusum), grew abundantly in the area. It was then considered as an important bamboo which was used for construction for good walking canes and further utilized as cooking furl. The founders were Luis Narciso and Mateo De Leon. Bical is under the titular patronage of San Roque commonly called Apung Duquit which was further shortened to Duquit, one of the three early sitios which include Dalan a Bayu (New Road) and Sumangid Dalan (other side of the road). The Mabalacat City placed the founded of Bical earlier at 1840 by Juan Anunciacion, Alipio Anunciacion, Baltazar Anunciacion, Leoncio Narciso Calalang and Luis Amarante Narciso.
Towards ourvision, the government and the people of Barangay Bical shall strive progress and change thru the use of its limited resources without having to compromise our usefulness and productiveness for future generation.
We envision to live as economically empowered people led by a dynamic and proactive leadership, living in a democratic, peaceful and progressive barangay and environmentally sustainable community.
