The City’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is an employment service facility that is aimed at providing and expanding employment opportunities to the people of Mabalacat. With the leadership of Mr. Bernard delos Reyes, the Department Head PESO, he aims to ensure that prompt, timely, and efficient distribution of employment services is provided to Mabalaqueños.

Core Programs

PESO provides the following projects and services: 1) Employment Assistance; 2) Career Training; 3) Career Guidance in Schools; 4) Labor and Employment. Currently, it administers trainings for basic computer literacy, hardware servicing, reflexology, bartending, household services, pastry making, and cosmetology.



In the past, this office has provided the following projects: 1) Foreign language training; 2) Welding; 3) Tile setting; 4) Carpentry; 5) Masonry; 6) Fashion Designing. The youth is also an important agency that PESO wants to develop. The Special Employment of Students (SES) at a barangay level is being implemented to train and equip students with skills that can help their respective barangays and also to boost student employment in the city.


Job Fair

Relatedly, in the coming Fiesta, PESO aims to organize job fairs and invite three companies per barangay. This project will make it easier for the people in the Barangays to be employed with competitive compensation in their desired jobs.


Partnership with CDC

In Mayor Garbo’s current administration, there is a strengthened and focused partnership between Mabalacat and CDC to increase employment of Mabalaqueños.

The office find their position in the local government worthy and meaningful. “Pinaka ikinatutuwa ko yung natutulungan mong makahanap ng hanap-buhay o trabaho ang isang tao. Mahalaga ito para sa kanilang personal na buhay at para rin sa kanilang mga pamilya.
