Department City Assessor Office
In accordance with the Local Government Code of 1991 ( Republic Act 7160) Title II, Real Property Taxation, the Office of the City Assessor is mandated to appraise & assess all real properties whether taxable or exempt on the basis of its actual use.
In an effort to help enhance and increase revenue collections in our city, the City Assessor’s Office has been conducting ocular inspections of all real properties in our locality. We also assisted in the tax mapping project initiated by the Provincial Government of Pampanga. The purpose of which is to link our office records with those in the field and to discover undeclared real properties. This project will greatly enhance and increase revenue collection which is also our target activity for the current year.
On the first semester of 2017 or as of June 2017 the total assessed value of taxable properties is P 3,032,652,962.00 as of August 2017 the total taxable assessed value is P 3,065,022,372.00 or P61,300,447.44 collectibles if collected religiously.
In order to better monitor taxable properties there are personnel’s who regularly conduct ocular inspections. Regular distribution of office supplies is needed to speedily facilitate transactions made by our taxpayers. Inter agency linkages is also a factor in enhancing revenue collections.
At the start of the 4th quarter of this year we will begin collecting data for the formulation of the new schedule of base unit market value in preparation for the conduct of General Revision of Property Assessment as per chapter 8 Sec. 275 of Republic Act 7160.
