Department City Health Office
The City Health Office aims to disseminate information to the public regarding non-communicable diseases, latest vaccines, current health risks and hazards, blood donations, and assistance to senior citizens in partnership with the PhilHealth and other agencies. It also endevours to provide adequate care and assistance to the medical needs of Mabalaqueños.
Currently, the Office is focused on disseminating information on the handling and management of students who were given a shot of Dengvaxia vaccine. The Office has already partnered with the Department of Education in the monitoring of students in the municipality who are experiencing symptoms of dengue. Also, the Office continues to make the public aware of the non-communicable diseases and other serious illnesses.
The Office continuously provides consultation and check-up to constituents in need. They also refer patients to the Central Pharmacy for their medication.
The following activities were successfully conducted by the City Health Office: 1) Awareness, Prevention, and Control on Bird Flu and Japanese Encephalitis; Drug Abuse Screening and Evaluation Program; 2) Blood Service Program – a 2-day Mobile Blood Letting Activity 3) PhilHealth ALAGA KA Program where a total of 2,025 members were enrolled in the List of 4Ps Indigent Members. 4) Seminar and training on Environment and Health Sanitation; 5) Administration of flu vaccine.
CHANGES UNDER THE GARBO ADMINISTRATION
Constituents who wish to avail of medical services are referred to the specialists provided by Mayor Garbo. They are physicians specializing on the common health concerns of the Mabalaqueños.
The Office also provides the medical assistance to the people. For those who are in need of medicines, the Office refers them to the Central Pharmacy. The Central Pharmacy is consistently restocked and replenished to provide adequate assistance.
