DOH III and MCG CHO Light Candles for AIDS; Orients EEWs on HIV Awareness

MABALACAT CITY – The Department of Health III and MCG-City Health Office, led by Dra. Maria Clara Aquino, held a ceremonial candle lighting in participation to the National AIDS Awareness Day, on May 15, 2018 at Jade Hall, Xevera Lot Only, Tabun, Mabalacat City.

A total of 100 Entertainment Establishment Workers (EEWs) attended the ceremony, which aimed to increase awareness and remove the stigma on Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).

Aside from the candle-lighting, the participants were also oriented on the mentioned diseases/infections and on Family Planning. The CHO also distributed contraceptives to the EEWs.
