House of Honesty in Mawaque Resettlement High SchoolAugust 8, 2018 6:12 am / News
In a world full of untruthfulness and falsifications, how often do we see an act of honesty? How can we promote it to the youth? These were just among the many questions which inspired the Mawaque Resettlement High School to put up its version of the famous Batanes’ Honesty Shop within their campus.
Ms. Arlene Vidal, MRHS principal, gave us a glimpse of their House of Honesty, an open school supplies shop for the students and staff located in one of their school buildings.
The said store has its own payment box where students and even faculty members place their money when purchasing. The House of Honesty, which also promotes integrity to the students, teaching, and non-teaching personnel, could reach a P2000 profit in a day, said Vidal. The said money is used to replenish the stocks and to fund various school projects.
